easiest but trickiest meal. but if cooked perfectly nothing can beat this!


গত বেশ কিছুদিন মাস্টারশেফ দেখছি। প্রথম থেকে শুরু করে সবগুলো সিজন ম্যারাথন দেখা শুরু করেছি। দেখতে দেখতে আবিস্কার করলাম, আমরা দেখি সবসময় overcooked chicken খাই! ওখানে গর্ডন রামসে চিকেনটা কাটার পর যে চমৎকার juiciness দেখা যায় তা তো আমাদের মুরগিতে কল্পনাই করা যায়না। মুরগির ঘরোয়া তরকারিতে না থাকুক, স্টেকে তো অন্তত থাকা উচিত বেপারটা! তারপর দুইজন মিলে নামলাম মিশনে। অনেক সাধনা করে দেখলাম, ঠিক এভাবে করলে গর্ডনের মত না হোক অন্তত সিদ্দিকা কবিরের মত প্রায় হয়েই গেছে!

I have almost been binge watching Masterchef seasons for last few days. After being totally into it, one day when I tried making my steak, I imagined Gordon's voice behind me saying, " wo, wo wo!! this is so bland and overcooked"! So, that brought me to the mission of juiciest chicken steak. After several failed attempts, this is what I came up with. Even though Gordon is still shouting behind my head, but if not him, this might please normal people like us!

Lets peek into our kitchen storage to find below items to get going!
  1. boneless chicken breast piece - 2
  2. dark soy sauce - 1 tspn
  3. chili sauce - 1.5 tbspn
  4. tomato sauce - 1.5 tbspn
  5. vinegar - 1.5 tbspn
  6. mustard oil - 2 tbspn
  7. finely chopped garlic - 2 tspn
  8. chili flake - 1 tspn
  9. dried oregano - 2/3 pinch
  10.  sugar - 1 tspn/ likewise
  11. glug of olive oil
  12. salt
  13. butter - 2 tbspn
  14. garlic clove - 2/3
Let's jump into cooking!

  1. cut slits in your chicken according to the given video


     
  2. marinade your chicken breasts with dark soy sauce, chili sauce, tomato sauce, vinegar, mustard oil, finely chopped fresh garlic, chili flake, salt, sugar and dried oregano for 45-60 mins. Give good massage to the chicken while mixing the marination.
    (P.S: 1. amounts of the sauces are given roughly. You can add or put less amount of it according to your taste
    2.put salt very carefully. These sauces already contain salt. So check before and after adding salt
    3. I used dark soy sauce because it gives a darker color which I like. You can add light soy sauce also.
    4. you can add Dijon mustard instead of mustard oil)

  3. heat your skillet over medium to low heat. Pour glug of olive oil in it.
  4. add the chicken removing the marination and slightly sear both sides.(pat dry the chicken before adding)
  5. cover and cook for 10 mins over the lid flipping once in the meanwhile
  6. remove the lid and add a dollop of butter and put your garlic cloves.
  7. cook for 2 more minutes putting melted butter added before over the chickens again and again using a spoon.
  8. serve with mashed potato, pasta , potato salad or roasted veggies!
