creamy pasta!
I have always found pasta to be the easiest alternative of rice. Being Bangladeshi I just cannot make myself compromise with just one single curry with rice. If there is a rice bowl on the table there has to be few other items as well other than the fish or chicken curry. So, since pasta is an one item dish I always try to make something with it whenever I am feeling lazy.
This time I will try to put measurements of items since it has been asked by few of my readers.
So lets check on if we have below items to get started with the recipe!
- penne pasta - 200 gm
- butter - 4 tbspn
- garlic-3 tspn (finely chopped)
- flour - 1 tbspn
- milk - 1 cup
- onion - 3 tbspn (sliced)
- yellow capsicum- 1/4 cup
- green capsicum - 1/4 cup
- tomato - 1 (large)
- tomato ketchup - 2 tbspn
- oregano - 1/2 tspn
- chilli flake
- salt
- black pepper
- mozarella cheese( half cup)
- button mashroom - 3/4 pieces(sliced)
To make this pasta we need to follow three steps. Lets find out the steps!
- Boiling the pasta
- Boil water in a pan and put handful of salt in it.
- When the water starts boiling put pasta in it. (tips: put 1 tspn of cooking oil in it to keep the pasta neat and not sticking to each other )
- Check with a spoon if the pasta is cooked. Once cooked drain the water putting the pasta in a strainer
- Preparing white sauce
- put 2 tbsp of butter in your fry-pan
- add 1 tbsp of garlic in it (be careful to not to burn the garlic)
- once the butter is melted put the flour and start stirring it (still be careful to not to burn them at all!)
- wait until the flour takes light brown color
- pour the milk in it while stirring with other hand
- keep on stirring and breaking the lumps created by flour with your spatula
- switch off the stove when it will start condensing and the texture is smooth with no lumps
- combining it all
- put 2 tbsp of butter in your sauce pan
- add 2 tbsp of garlic
- once the garlic starts taking the brown color, add onion
- fry the onion for 30 seconds and then add mashroom
- add capsicum and chopped tomato
- stir them real well and put the lid on the sauce pan for a while so that the tomato melts easily and creates the saucy texture
- once the tomato is melted add 2 tbsp of tomato ketchup, chili flakes, oregano, black pepper, and salt
- pour in the white sauce previously made
- mix it all together nicely
- add the boiled pasta
- mix everything and add grated mozzarella cheese
- stir until the cheese melts
- your pasta is ready to dig in!
Wow, exceptionally beautiful! Simple, heartfelt and sumptuous at the same time. I love pasta thanks to my ammu, but as of now nobody has time, this is seriously going to help me as a mediocre cook to be better. Thanks.
